Pope Benedict didn't really walk out during Sheikh's vile rant...

And this is after the Sheikh did the same damn thing to John Paul II nine years ago!

The pope walked out when the ranting was over, though not before shaking the sheikh’s hand. The thing is, the self-same sheikh pulled the self-same stunt nine years ago when John Paul II visited Israel. Um, better vetting next time would be good.

In case you haven't heard about the incident.

A leading Palestinian cleric commandeered an evening devoted to interfaith dialogue with Pope Benedict XVI on Monday to rant against Israel for "killing Gaza's children," "bulldozing Palestinian homes" and "destroying mosques."

In an impromptu speech, delivered in Arabic at the Notre Dame Pontifical Institute in Jerusalem, Sheikh Tayseer Tamimi, chief Islamic judge in the Palestinian Authority, launched a 10-minute tirade against the State of Israel for confiscating Palestinians' land and carrying out war crimes against the residents of Gaza.

He also called for the immediate return of all Palestinian refugees, and called on Christians and Muslims to unite against Israel.

Tamimi invoked the name of Saladin, the Muslim sultan who recaptured Jerusalem from the Crusaders in 1187.

Riddle me this my possums - how does some jamoke get up and make an 'impromptu speech' at an event like this?  It's good thing he didn't have a gun...or a knife...or a bomb belt...or a shoe.  (I think the Pope's advance men got played and it was all a big setup - but that's just me.   Get a load of the groveling statement they put out after the event.)

Tamimi, uninvited and taking the podium after the pope, accused Israel of killing women and children in Gaza and making Palestinians refugees, then declared Jerusalem the Palestinian capital. The pope left the building after Tamimi's remarks and before the meeting ended, the Post said.

Afterward, papal spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi issued a statement saying, "The intervention of Sheik Tayseer Tamimi was not previewed by the organizers of the inter-religious meeting that took place at Notre Dame Centre in Jerusalem. ... We hope that such an incident will not damage the mission of the Holy Father aiming at promoting peace and inter-religious dialogue."

About the sheikh - he was the nut that issued the fatwa against palestinians selling land to Jews among others.  Oddly enough, he reportedly sold his own property to a JEW. 

George Galloway's Gaza Viva Palestina Convoy gets stoned in Egypt.

Vandals wrote dirty words and anti Hamas slogans, bellyaches 'my-daddy-didn't-love-me' Muslim convert and journalist, Yvonne Ridley. 

If you came by my house I'd write dirty words on your convoy too, Red George Galloway and Yvonne (is my hijab on straight?) Ridley.

George, you're nothing but a jumped up attention whore and Yvonne?  C U next Tuesday, dear.  BTW, what kind of NON-medical aid are these clowns transporting into Gaza on their magical mystery tour?

A humanitarian convoy led by maverick MP George Galloway,carrying medical supplies for Gaza has come under attack in Egypt.  The convoy, carrying aid worth £1m, was pelted with stones and vandalised after it stopped in El-Arish, a small town around 28 miles from the Rafah border crossing with Gaza.

"It's an absolute disgrace,'' convoy organiser Yvonne Ridley told AFP. "The power was cut. Under cover of darkness members of our convoy were attacked with stones.

"Vandals also wrote dirty words and anti-Hamas slogans,'' she said. "Several people in the convoy were injured in the attack.'"

The 110 vehicle convoy, organised and led by the Respect MP for Bethnal Green, set out from London last month with hundreds of volunteers. It arrived in El-Arish, about 45 kilometres (28 miles) from the Rafah passage to Gaza, on Saturday.

A security official said that during a power cut, which is a frequent occurrence in the town, children had pelted the convoy with stones.

The convoy was held up in El-Arish after a dispute arose between organisers and Egyptian officials over the inclusion of non-medical aid in the convoy.

Egyptian officials have said they would allow medical relief through the Rafah passage to Gaza, which is facing a humanitarian crisis after Israel’s military offensive. However non-medical goods such as food would have to pass through Israel's crossings with the Palestinian enclave.

"George Galloway is still in negotiations,'' said Ms Ridley `"What we have agreed to do is to separate the medical aid from the non-medical aid. The non-medical will go into Gaza via the Egyptian Red Crescent.''  The convoy is expected to continue to Gaza today.

In early February it emerged that three Islamist terror suspects arrested in northwest England had planned to leave the country under cover of Mr Galloway's convoy. Intelligence sources said the men were planning a terrorist operation abroad.

What really happened when the convoy got to the border.

As members of the convoy refused to follow orders, they returned back to el-Arish where a row erupted with security police that led to the injury of two activists.  The convoy includes 12 ambulances, a fire engine, and more than 1.4 million dollars-worth of aid.

Israel: Another bulldozer jihad attack

Okay, it looks more like a backhoe but you get my drift.  The good news: a brave taxi driver shot the terrorist at the scene.  The bad news:  Hamas is praising the attacks and calls the rampage 'a natural response'.  Yeah, if you're a death cult crazed lunatic - it's a natural response!

Oh, yes.  Let's give them a state and pour more aid down their Muslim sewer.  (this really ticks me off.)

A man who drove a construction vehicle into a police car and an empty bus on a major road in Jerusalem has been shot and killed, Israeli police and medical services.

Two Israeli policemen sustained minor injuries in the incident, police said. The driver was shot by an Israeli policeman and a taxi driver at the scene, according to a police spokesman and eyewitnesses. He died as he reached a Jerusalem hospital, Israeli medical services said.

Police have not identified the driver. A police officer on the scene told Israel Radio that there was an open Quran, or Muslim holy book, inside the construction vehicle.

Al Jazeera is reporting that the Islamic Jihad is claiming responsibility for the attacks and it's in response to a Gaza airstrike that killed two Islamic Jihad terrorists.  The Kassams are flying again, too.
