Here's an interesting Muslim family value for you:  Going to the mosque and praying for your sister - after you've strangled her.  Hasibullah Sadiqi's trial continues up in Canada.

"(Witness Payman) Fazli also testified about meeting Sadiqi the morning after the killings at Fazli’s apartment building on Riverside Dr. “He wanted to see me. He sounded sad and upset,” said Fazli. “He said Khatera was gone. I said, ‘What do you mean?’ and he said, ‘Khatera is gone.’ ” Fazli said Sadiqi then admitted he’d shot the couple.  “He asked me if I wanted to go to mosque to say a prayer for her,” said Fazli. “He said, ‘She’ll become a martyr. She’s in paradise now.’”

Words fail:  Bus full of handicapped students bombed by Pakistani Religion of Peace devotees.

"Ahmad Khan, a nine-year-old who had been on the bus, sat shaking on his mother's lap at the Lady Reading hospital as surgeons tried to save the life of a classmate. He struggled to tell her what had happened to him, throwing up his arms to mimic the explosion, then burst into tears and buried his bandaged head in her arms.

"My child is mentally impaired, but we had hope for him and sent him to school. Now I am even more worried for his future," said his veiled mother, Gul Bibi. "How could any human being do this?"

"In her death statement registered by the police, Saba said, “My mother-in-law grabbed me by hair, while my husband punched and kicked me, making me almost unconscious. When I fell down on the ground and was in a daze, I called for water. But my husband poured a glassful of acid in my mouth.”"

The police are complicit:

"Usman said that the accused were politically influential and pressurizing his family through different tactics to make a compromise with them. Saba’s octogenarian mother Razia Begum told Daily Times that they were often called to the police station in the dead of the night and pressurized to patch things up with the accused."

Here's a new one on me, possums and it's unspeakable.  Honor gang rape.   (It's also Pakistan.  Again.)

"Hamza Lubano had lodged a report at the police station Ubaro under section 354-A, 387-a, 337-F(10 147, 148, 149 of the Pakistan Penal code, FIR 07/2007, stating that a dispute took place between Abdul Sattar and him on a children-related matter, upon which Sattar threatened to violate his honour so that “he could no longer live in society”.

Labano’s relative reportedly kidnapped the daughter of Anwar Khan some time back; and in order to avenge her honour, Anwar Khan and his ten accomplices abducted Nasima, and took her to Sattar’s residence, where ten persons allegedly raped her. The sexual assault by ten persons has also been proved by the medical report."

And it looks like there's still plenty of garden variety Honor killings going on in Pakistan.  Brother kills girl for honour.

"...on Friday morning, Bano (the victim) called home and talked to her mother expressingher desire to return home. The mother agreed. However, as Bano reached home she was beaten up by her father. In the meantime, Bano’s younger brother came and started arguing with her and suddenly he whipped out his handgun, fired a single shot into Bano’s head and killed her.

Afterwards, the police reached the house and conducted legal formalities and lodged a case. Imran, in his statement to the police, said that he had killed his sister because she had eloped with a non-Muslim."

How dare she.

Somalia: Canadian citizen arrested while driving an 'explosives-filled' vehicle.

Canadian authorities have not been able to confirm the arrest at this point.

A Canadian has been arrested in Somalia for allegedly planning to bomb leaders of a moderate political faction, according to local media reports that identified him as a member of the militant group Al-Shabab.

Abdifatah Mohamad Ibrahim appeared in court yesterday in the central Galgudud region, where authorities showed his Canadian passport to spectators, according to Radio Garowe and the Somali-language news site allpuntland.com.

The reports said he was arrested March 8 by clan militias loyal to Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama, which has been battling Al-Shabab. Authorities are investigating whether he was attempting to assassinate top Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama officers.

One report said he was arrested while driving a vehicle filled with explosives. He has been charged with five offences, including that he was trained to use explosives, that he planned bombings and that he intended to travel to Burao in Somaliland to "commit acts of insecurity," Radio Garowe reported. He has allegedly admitted that he was a trained member of Al-Shabab.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said it was not aware of any recent arrests of Canadian citizens in Somalia but Ottawa has no diplomatic presence in the country. Consular officials in Nairobi were seeking further information on the matter.

"Due to the highly volatile and unpredictable nature of the security situation in Somalia, the government of Canada's ability to provide consular assistance to Canadians in distress is severely restricted," said Daniel Barbarie, a Foreign Affairs spokesman.

Garowe Online reports that:

Burao is the second-largest city in Somaliland, a self-declared independent republic in northwestern Somalia that has not been recognized internationally.

The suspect reportedly "admitted" to two charges, namely that he is a member of Al Shabaab and that he was trained for two years to fight against Ethiopian troops.

The case, which is the first of its nature against Al Shabaab suspects inside Somalia, will continue and the ruling will be implemented under Islamic law, Ahlu Sunnah officers said.

Runaway pilot: Poor, lost Muslim soul? Or Cessna Jihad probing our defenses?

I have been keeping half an eye on this story so it wasn't until this morning that I happened to hear that the runaway pilot Adam Leon, was a native of Turkey and that he was formerly known as Yavuz Berke (or Burke depending on the report) who just became a Canadian citizen last year.

Taylor and Company is all over the Canadian media taking out their dhimmi scrub bush and busily scrubbing any and all mentions of his previous name and nationality out of their reports.  (He also makes some excellent suggestions for future runaway pilots to allow them to avoid the ignominy of Mr. Berke's fate.)

CNN has this about Mr. Leon/Berke/Burke's capture:

The pilot reportedly stole a small Cessna 172 aircraft from a Canadian flight school, flew hundreds of miles across the Midwest, landed on a dirt road in Missouri late Monday and took off on foot, federal officials said.

Federal, state and local authorities launched a manhunt for the pilot, who was identified by the FBI as Adam Leon, 31, a native of Turkey who became a Canadian citizen last year, according to FBI spokesman Richard Kolko. He was formerly known as Yavuz Berke, though officials did not indicate a reason for the name change.

He was taken into custody at an Ellsinore grocery story after a brief manhunt, according to Missouri state police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

A federal law enforcement source said the pilot parked the plane under what appeared to be a bridge or culvert, apparently in an attempt to hide it.

In this report Mr. Leon/Berke/Burke is just another poor lost soul.

ABC said Canadian officials told U.S. officials Burke had been treated Friday for depression, and that he left a good-bye note for his girlfriend.

Not that lost.  He bought something to drink  and waited 35 minutes for the police to arrive.  (And if he was so hellbent on suicide then why did he land with 30 minutes worth of fuel still in the tank.) 

The FBI and FAA are interviewing him now, but have already said he wasn't a terrorist so go back to sleep sheeple.   It's sounding like he will just be released back into the custody of Canadian authorities.

(He could be a poor, lost, soul, I don't know - it still smells to me.  And I hate that because of the actions of a few dirty, rotten Muslims that I would have reason to doubt this guy and that this kind of suspicious thought even crosses my mind.  )

What does al qaeda want?  They're DEMANDING the release of Islamic militants in EUROPE, more territory, death to all infidels - you know the drill. 

This time al Qaeda checks in with another tape showing two missing Canadian diplos and their driver in Niger.  AQ also claims to have the four tourists (2 Swiss, a German and a Briton) kidnapped in January.

Suspected kidnappers of two Canadian diplomats on a UN mission to Niger have set a "prisoner exchange" as a condition for their release, Canwest News Service has learned.

This emerges as al-Qaeda's wing in North Africa yesterday claimed responsibility for holding Robert Fowler and his Foreign Affairs aide Louis Guay -- as well as four western tourists kidnapped in Niger's neighbour Mali, near the border between the two countries.

"The "prisoner exchange" demand has complicated efforts to free the Canadians, who disappeared Dec. 14 along with their locally hired driver, Soumana Mounkaila.

Neither Canada nor the UN would have control over any prisoners the kidnappers might seek in the region."

"The UN publicly confirmed last week that Canada had received the video showing Mr. Fowler and Mr. Guay, but added that UN investigators had at that point not received a copy.

"We have not seen it, but we have been told about it," spokeswoman Michele Montas told reporters at the daily UN media briefing.  The UN officially holds the lead in the investigation because all three men represented the UN."

Meanwhile,  Mali has arrested two suspects in the kidnapping of the four tourists.

At least two suspects in the kidnapping of four Europeans in Niger, claimed by Al-Qaeda's North African branch, have been arrested in Mali, a security source said on Friday.

"On Friday in northern Mali we arrested at least two suspects in the kidnapping of the European tourists. Two of the suspects were transferred to Bamako," the Malian security source told AFP.  A second independent source in northern Mali said a total of four people had been arrested in connection with the kidnapping.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb last month claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of the four tourists and also for two Canadian diplomats, including the UN-envoy to Niger, and their driver taken last year.

On Friday the kidnappers made new demands for the release of Islamic militants arrested in Europe to be released in exchange for liberating the hostages, another source said."

Al-Qaida-linked militants have reneged on an agreement to free one of three Red Cross hostages, demanding a larger military pullout from their southern Philippine stronghold than the original deal specified, an official said Saturday.

Senator Richard Gordon, who also heads the Philippine National Red Cross, said no hostage has been released by Abu Sayyaf commander Albader Parad despite the withdrawal of troops on Thursday from an area close to the militants' position near Indanan township on Jolo island.

Elders in Pakistan's lawless tribal region are negotiating with Taliban militants for the release of a Canadian woman threatened with beheading, according to a tribesman in the region.

“Two tribal elders are in talks between the local government and the Taliban,” local tribesman Amer Jan said by telephone from the rugged area.

The news comes a day after The Globe and Mail received a video of Beverly Giesbrecht, 52, pleading with authorities in Canada and Pakistan to do something to save her life, saying her captors have told her they will cut off her head if their demands aren't met by March 31. They have asked for $375,000 (U.S.) for her release.

“The matter will be settled, but secretly,” Mr. Jan said.

When contacted, one of the elders involved in negotiations asked that their identity not be revealed, and said they are not authorized to talk until a deal has been reached. But he did acknowledge that he was shuttling between the parties involved.

Neither Pakistani authorities nor the Canadian embassy responded to requests for comment on the news of the negotiations.

Meanwhile in Canada, George Galloway gets banned.

(* I did look it up.  LOL.   And the phrase "infandous street corner Cromwell'  fits Mr. Galloway to a tee.)

George Galloway has been barred from Canada on national security grounds. The outspoken MP, who opposes the war in Afghanistan where Canadian troops are deployed, was due to make a speech in Toronto on March 30.

But a spokesman for immigration minister Jason Kenney said Mr Galloway was viewed as a supporter of the radical Palestinian group Hamas, which is banned in Canada.

The Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, who is on a North American speaking tour, vowed to use all means at his disposal to challenge the ‘outrageous’ ban.

He called the move a ‘desperate election ploy’ by a Conservative government.

But a spokesman for Canada's immigration minister Jason Kenney insisted the decision, taken by border security officials, would not be overturned for a 'infandous* street-corner Cromwell'

After the United Nations diplomat John Solecki, who had forcefully converted to Islam under the doctrine of the Taliban militants, a Canadian journalist - Beverly Giesbrecht, became the latest Taliban target, with the deadline of March 30 being announced by the militants for her release.

Even as the 48-hour deadline for kidnapped United Nations official John Solecki ends, the Taliban has released another hostage video, this time of a Canadian journalist, threatning to behead her by March 30.

As Beverly desperately calls out for help, she says, "The timeline is very short and my life is going to end. So I need someone to help me. My country or someone else have to make a move now, as my life is going to be over very shortly."

The irony is Beverly - now Khadija Adbul Qahaar - publisher of a pro-Islamic website 'Jihad Unspun', was in Pakistan to understand the concept of 'Jihad', when the Taliban kidnapped her in North Wazirstan. 

"A previous video has been made and distributed to my Embassy, to the Pakistan government and to the various NGOs and groups, in order to try to meet the demnads (sic)that they're (the Taliban terror outfits) are making but....," trails off Beverly.

A cash strapped Taliban, at first demanded USD 2 millions, and have now settled for USD 3 hundred and 75 thousand ransom.

As the deadline for the execution of kidnapped United Nations man John Solecki lapsed, the timing of Beverly's hostage video release, served as grim reminder for foreigners in Pakistan that they have become the Taliban terror groups' most negotiable currecy in their holy war.

As far as Solecki goes, the UN's 'concern' is still 'growing' but all they can do is dither.  Anne Patterson, the US ambassador to Pakistan visited Quetta this week to talk to local authorities about John Solecki, but came up with nada.  For its part, the Pakistani government is feeling all hope and changey.

One local TV station reported yesterday that Solecki would be released within 24 hours.  That was 21 hours ago.

The kidnapped official of UNHCR, John Solecki is expected to be released within next twenty-fours, private TV channel reported on Thursday.

The report quoted official sources as saying that the United Nations has stepped up its efforts for the safe release of its official and expressed the hope that the efforts would bear fruit and the official would be released in next twenty four hours.

According to the report, US Ambassador in Pakistan Anne .W. Peterson visited Quetta on Thursday amid tight security and held an important meeting with Inspector General of Police Balochistan and Inspector General of Frontier Corps Major General Saleem Nawaz.

During the meeting, she discussed the issue of getting the UN official safe release.

Sources said that the objective of the US Ambassador’s visit to Quetta was to get the official released safely.

Canada: 'Memorial to honour slain teen'...

...that is the headline in the Mississauga News. Ironic isn't it?  The word 'honour' is used in the headline but killing is not. It was an HONOR KILLING and she was MUSLIM and I can only be left to wonder if this picture was taken in the park where the memorial will be installed.

"A memorial is being erected in a Niagara area park to honour the life of Aqsa Parvez, an Applewood Heights Secondary School student who was strangled to death inside her family's Mississauga home.

The Town of Pelham will install a bench and plant a tree at Peace Park to honour immigrants who are caught between cultures "and are challenged to conform to both." Pelham councillor Sharon Cook said the bench and tree will honour Parvez. 

(Editor's note:  Lovely sentiment, but she wasn't challenged to conform to both cultures.  As you can see from this picture she had fit in only too well and she was murdered because of Islam.

About her murder:

On Dec. 10, 2007, Parvez, 16, was rushed from her family's Longhorn Trail home to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She died later that night. An autopsy revealed she was strangled to death, police said.

The high-profile case garnered international attention. Friends of the slain teen said she feared for her life and had been threatened by family members in the weeks prior to her death, over a religious dispute.

Parvez's father, Muhammad Parvez, 57, and her brother, Waqas Parvez, 27, are each charged with first-degree murder in her death. The case remains before the courts. The preliminary hearing for the accused resumed this week.

Canadian jets scare off Russian jet on eve of Obama visit.

Fighter jets were scrambled to intercept a Russian bomber in the Arctic as it approached Canadian airspace on the eve of President Barack Obama`s visit to Ottawa last week, Canada`s defence minister said on Friday.

Peter MacKay said the bomber never entered Canadian airspace. But he said two Canadian CF-18 jets met the bomber in international airspace and sent a `strong signal that they should back off. They met a Russian aircraft that was approaching Canadian airspace, and as they have done in previous occasions they sent very clear signals that are understood, that the aircraft was to turnaround, turn tail, and head back to their airspace, which it did,` MacKay said.

but doesn't talk about Gitmo detainees.  He 'thanks Canada for their concern' and says they're still 'figuring out who the bad guys are'?  Mamma Mia! Is he serious?  And why are his lips blue again?

After leaving Parliament Hill, the president's motorcade stopped at the By Ward Market, a farmers' market in an historic section of Ottawa. Obama's arrival surprised and stunned shoppers, many of whom crowded around the new president, shook his hand and posed for photos.

Obama walked through aisles of vendors selling crafts, Chinese noodles and Indian food. He purchased a key chain and searched for a snow globe.

But his main destination was a French bakery.

He tried to buy cookies for daughters Malia and Sasha, but the baker behind the counter refused Obama's money, indicating the sweets were for his children.

As he left, a woman emerged with the one local favorite Obama had heard a great deal about — a deep-fried pastry known as Beaver Tail.

Obama then headed to his meeting with Canada's opposition leader, Michael Ignatieff. The two chatted briefly at the start about the pastry, which the president had tried and described as delicious.

He added that in Chicago, "we have some stuff that will thicken the arteries."

Yeah, it's called pork, fool!   And since you've been in DC you've super-sized it.
