I couldn't believe it when I saw this headline: Man accused of beheading wife appears for estate hearing.
The case of slain cable TV executive Aasiya Zubair Hassan spilled over into a second courtroom today as Erie County Surrogate Barbara Howe conducted a closed-court session on her estate and its ultimate disposition.
This is so wrong on SO many levels, I don't know where to begin.
First, Hassan beats, then beheads his wife in cold blood and now he is playing the justice system like a fiddle. His attorney has made the strategic decision to try and run out the clock to jam the prosecution's formulation of their defense strategy against the Islamic wife beheader. Mark your calendars, possums: The date for his trial has been tentatively set for January 19.
From the Buffalo News:(h/t Jeffrey Imm)
...
“During Friday’s brief court session, Colleen Curtin Gable, the chief homicide prosecutor in the case, complained to the judge about “repeated demands” of the Erie County District Attorney’s office as to how Harrington plans to defend Hassan.”
“After prosecutors receive the required pretrial notice on the defense strategy, they will be able to arrange for their own mental health professionals to examine the defendant — if insanity-linked issues are part of the defense strategy.”
“After Harrington said he is confident he can provide prosecutors with his defense strategy by mid-September the judge scheduled another session in the for Sept. 18. To give both sides enough time to prepare Franczyk has scheduled a tentative Jan. 19 start of jury selection in the murder trial.”
Read the details surrounding the brutal killing and ask yourself if he was insane or if he was just a cold, calculating, Muslim woman hater preserving his honor.
And get this, he's only being charged with murder in the second degree.
he is just another honor killing muslim. and it is societal self delusion not to see it.

The only plea that piece of shit ought to get is for the execution to be quick.
